Special Event Request

The Broadmoor Police Department is proud to support community-building by participating in public events hosted by residents, local organizations, and neighborhood groups. Whether it’s a block party, school event, cultural gathering, or local celebration, our officers are available to attend and engage with the community in a positive and approachable setting—at no cost to the public.

We welcome invitations to events held within Broadmoor or in directly surrounding communities that aim to bring people together in a spirit of unity and collaboration. Officer participation is part of our ongoing commitment to proactive community policing.  These events are typically attended by Our Reserve Officers who volunteer their time to the Broadmoor Community as part of their regular duties and community outreach efforts and no additional public funding is required.

Our presence at these events helps promote safety, build trust, and strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the people we serve—without placing extra financial burden on taxpayers.

To ensure adequate staffing, scheduling coordination, and proper planning for community safety, the Broadmoor Police Department requires at least a 60-day advance notice for officer(s) attendance at special events. This lead time allows us to assess resource availability, minimize impact on regular patrol duties, and provide the highest level of service to both event organizers and the community.
